Christmas got started a little early. Skid plates that i ordered during the black Friday sale at 4xinnovations got done early. Took advantage of the warmer weather to paint the skid plates. Also took the truck to Iowa muffler in Des Moines so that the crossover pipe could be moved to fit the...
Going good for me as well. Back in Johnston for the holidays and break from school. Installing a set of skid plates with my dad while I'm home. Rear bumper should be done in January. Id be down to meet up anytime assuming school timing allows it. Merry Christmas and Happy New Years...
I have been looking at pelfreybilt for pretty much all the armor. The ocd in me likes to have matching brands. I am running the stock coils on the 6112's which i believe is 610lb. The bumper maybe moved them 1/4 inch and the winch the same. They have been good for me off road, much...
Hey everyone member from Dubuque,Ia here. My girlfriend is from Cary so im in the chicago area somewhat often. I plan on trying out River Road Rally Park when im over there. I drive an 09 Tacoma that im building up with out sacrificing towing. The 4runner in the picture is my dads.
I will be sure to have all of those on the list to do! Thanks for all the help. This'll be the first time ill have the truck on rock. Im usually in fields or level b roads.
Ill make sure to put it on the list! My biggest concern with any of the trails is departure angle. Id like ot keep my rear bumper intact. I am getting sliders before the trip. Are there any other vehicle things i would want?
Awesome! thank you. My family is big into going to national parks and doing alot of hiking.
Is there any medium difficulty trails you would recommend? Enough to test the truck a little ut not hard enough to have my mom get mad at me from the back seat.
Hey everyone my family is going out to Moab for the first time this spring. We will be there for about a week. I'm trying to plan out what needs to be on my list of things to do/see. I'm not looking to do any hardcore wheeling but want to do some lighter stuff. My parents and sister will be...
I chose the Tacoma mostly because of my fathers first 4runner( a 2005 i dont have a picture of). I was looking for another truck and knew i really wanted a 6' bed with a crew cab. Because i am still in college and technically live under my parents roof they had a big say in what i was getting...
Ralph, Ive named both of my trucks after my grandpas. My first truck was an 03 ford named Ted after my mom's dad and the taco is named Ralph after my fathers dad.
Debating on adding a 40" light bar to the truck. I actually already have the light bar from my last truck but its just been sitting in the garage since I got the taco. My first choice would be to get the prinsu cab rack which has the spot for a light bar built into the front wind deflector...
Yeah justifying the price can be difficult. I've had a mix of rigids and cheapo ones. While the bars function well the powdercoat on them hasn't held up as well and the wiring harness just came with wire leads and not an actual connector.
Ive read good things on the cbi gear. Its hard to go wrong with any of the bigger companies. Will do, I'm planning on getting a couple more things done over winter.
