Just working on a weekend getaway this weekend November 16th through the 18th. Thinking about Moab. I'm only a few hours North of Moab and just wanted to see if any Overland Bound Members will be in the area. Thanks.
I made it to Moab late last night. Mountain biked the Slickrock trail this morning. Camping in Sand Flats Recreation Area. A perfect day. Right now just soaking up the sun. Making a run on Gemini Bridges in the morning. Maybe Long Trail then headed home before the snow comes in.
Possibly a change of plans. Trail conditions are going to be bad due to rain and snow. They just closed Shafer Trail due to snow. May head farther south.
I"m headed out to Moab this weekend when I return from a Colorado trip. Moab in February is epic! Very few people and rigs. Silent Serenity!! Weather right now is looking like mid-50s and sunny. Lows 25-30. Will be mountain biking and doing some easy Jeep trails. Most likely taking the...
There was still some snow at the top of the trail on May 20th. However, this year we just haven't had the snow we had last year. Barring any major snow storms I'm assuming we will be able to do the same trip around the same time or maybe a little earlier this year. It was a good trail (not...
OK Utah Overlanders, It's been a long time since I've posted and it's been since May that I did anything with a group. A few of us had a great trip in May 2017. You can see some photos and comments by following "Regions", "North America", "United States", and "Rocky Mountain Region", "May 20...
I have a stock 16 Jeep Rubicon Hard Rock. She's capable but I'm not a skilled 4x4 guy and I can't afford to fix broken parts. Me personally, I'm not looking for any major obstacles. It's more about spending the day off the beaten path enjoying the scenery. Those that want a high level of...
I didn't get a GPX of the trail. So excited to have 6 rigs show up and a beautiful day, that was something I forgot. Need to put it on the list of things to do for next time. I had Gaia on the cell phone, a Suunto GPS Watch on , and a Garmin in the Jeep and no GPX. I think someone posted...
Based on the members map it appears that the majority of members are located in the I-15 corridor from Spanish Fork to Ogden. There is a group West of Huntington and a group near St. George and few scattered throughout the state. Just my observation. Maybe we can hit each of these areas at...
You're welcome and it was definitely a blast. I'm already looking at dates on the calendar for the next adventure. We also need to start throwing trail ideas on the table. I will look at the members map and see if we can locate a "centralized" area and hopefully pull rigs from all over the...
It may be possible to analyse the map, find a possible centralized location of most of the Utah members, and pick a date. That way we could pull as many as possible across the state. I realize that most of us in Utah are extremely busy with our outdoor activities. But if we could try to get...
