Normally I am a fan of buy once cry once and would recommend Clayton Off Road's long arms. but if you just want it a little taller to ger your feet wet so to speak just do a simple budget boost. IS a spacer on the springs like this kit. WJ 2" Budget Boost - Iron Rock Off Road
Nemo beyond the tunnel.
We all know Nemo tunnel near Wartburg Tn where you can drive your rig through an old railroad tunnel but there is more to this spot then just diving through a tunnel. For me overlanding is about going to cool places to do cool things with the vehicle serving as base...
In February my wife and I relocated from SC to Knoxville TN. I had an accident at work right as things shut down from the virus but i'm more or less recovered now and looking at exploring more of eastern TN this summer
As most access cab/extended cab truck owners know the back seats are a waste of space. being 6'4" no one would ever fit in the jump seat behind me. Also the jump seats and back support take up a good bit of room. So to fix it I jumped in one of the group buys on Tacoma World for a custom cut...
The Falkin Wildpeak AT Trails are a new tire aimed at crossovers small SUV and Subaru owners. Taking a line from the bike world I think of these tires as All Road vs a true All Terrain . Hear my thoughts on them.
After what has felt like for ever the wife and I and some friends headed to Western NC to check out of cell phone range for the weekend. We had such a good time camping hiking and relaxing that my wife and I went back the next weekend. Still have some set up things to work out but so far so good.
I've had 0 issues with it. Also i like the fact I can remove it in about 5 minutes and have a full open bed. Granted I haven't slept in it yet so your mileage my very on that.
Made a few changes to the truck. We have been putting more highway miles on it lately and the big E rating mud tires were just a little much and I lucked into a deal for a full set of 5 255/75/17s JK takeoffs on 4 runner wheels with almost 0 miles. The truck rides a good bit better with them...
Forgot to post this here but finally starting to explore some of the dirt/sand roads in SC with the goal of creating some sort of mostly dirt route from the coast to the start of the GA traverse.
I had a 2006 for a few years before it got totaled by an impatient driver. They are great trucks with a really solid motor. The other great thing is that a lot of the first gen titan parts bolt in. you have have a stronger front diff and a solid mid travel suspension with OEM parts. Also...
Just getting into the youtube thing, going to be a mix of unfitting my garage into a workable shop space vehicles woodworking and a wooden boat build.

While not true overlanding as we didn't use it as base camp finally took the truck to the mountains and explored some cool dirt roads. I want to go back and hit a few more spots there is nothing quite like being in the mountains on a dirt road during peak fall colors.
I will almost always opt for a different kind of jack when needing to lift a vehicle. Now there are many other cases were they are great but lifting is not one of them for me. Also I see this a lot keeping a High Lift style jack out side in the elements is a sure fire way for it not to work as...
