I built mine for under $40 and 2 hrs work out of a plow disc. If you can weld or you have a good buddy that can it’s a win. Plus with a disc it’s much more versatile then the Skottle, it can be placed directly on a camp fire.

Ill second that for two spares and a good tire repair kit, the shale roads can be unforgiving. I would also look at radiator protection and repair as well, we didn’t have issues with either on our trip up but we did have to help others along the way with tire repair and Rad issues.

I looked at all the traditional options for 5lb bottles and found that most a crazy over priced.
I found with a little modifications a 30 lbs fire extinguisher mount works absolutely perfect and at $40-$50 why not. Simply move the tank restraint down a few inches and rivet it on.
My suggestion would be to try a greens supplement drink, it’s vegetables in powdered from one scoop into water or almond milk will supply you with the nutritional values.
But at the end of day eating real is the way to go.

Well the thing to do is, pack your cooler, load the family or a few friends up and start a mini road trip. Drive around the back roads and stop in on some farms and introduce yourselves, one of them is bound to have a few you can pick up.
