Electrical has been converted to 12v from 24v with dual optima yellow top batteries. The winch is a Smittybilt 12000 xrc. In the rear I installed a quick connect to allow charging of my trailer batteries when driving.
The axles have Dually hubs installed allowing for unaltered use of HMWWV wheels. The down side is they are a 16.5 inch rim and the weight. The benefit is the true double beedlock. The Tires are 37 goodyear mt HMMWV tires.
I bought this truck because of its running gear 6.2l diesel (doesn't make much power) Turbo 400 trans mated to a np205 transfer case. The rear axle has been swamped to a Dana 70 35 spline shaft with Detroit locker, in the front is a Dana 60 king pin with Detroit locker, PSC hydro assist...
Aside from my Ram 1500 I wanted something i could take down more difficult trails and not worry about trail damage. I ended up buying a Chevy K30 that started its life as a m1031 field maintenance truck.
