Awesome, thanks for the idea! I love that approach.
It almost makes me hope that it's freezing cold this weekend so I can go ahead and give it a shot.
Haha, exactly. When I watched the demo video I thought "OK, I guess that's neat but when am I ever going to completely take off the bottom of the tent for any reason?"
And then after I had the tent spotless in 5 minutes because I could unvelcro the one side I was all like "My gosh, is there...
Heating pad! That's brilliant. :grinning:
So @Wandering Bison , you're in a vehicle. That makes a lot of sense but my use case would be slightly different since we'll be in a tent and will need to power it using something portable.
@Flipper , are you using yours in a vehicle as well or are...
Does anyone have any experience with using portable electric blankets for staying warm in cold weather camping? Either one that's actually made to be portable via a rechargable battery pack or a "normal" one plugged into something like a Jackery or a GoalZero.

It literally sets up in less than a minute. Breakdown is just as easy. And it's sooo nice being able to stand fully upright in any part of the tent (I'm...
Ha, yeah, that'd be pretty sick. Major kudos to whoever did the body work on that Frankenstein job. If it didn't look so ridiculous, you'd never know it wasn't meant to look that way because the lines on it are perfect.
Good to know. For the rockier sections that you guys encountered, was there ever a "safer" path or was it pretty much there's one approach to take and you're either prepared for it or you're not?
Dang, that's awesome. How'd you achieve that additional ground clearance? I believe the stock ground clearance on that Outback is just shy of 9". That's a significant increase.
While you're addressing the ground clearance issues, you might as well go ahead and add on another set of wheels and a small truck bed with a roll cage. :tearsofjoy:
Dang! I really want to go but I'll be at a wedding in Branchville, SC that weekend. Never heard of Branchville, you say? Exactly. :unamused::disappointed:
