Thanks brien, I guess there's more interest in participating than anyone knew. Although I'm new here I consider this a quality site. The responses and posts from folks here, not just members, is interesting and informative. That they would want to meet in a hosted event, to connect and enjoy...
Anyone have any experience with these https://www.volcanogrills.com/ they seem really versatile . I like the idea of dutch oven cooking without charcoal.
You guys that are running roof racks with spare, cans, jacks etc how bad was your drop in mileage? I have a cherokee I put everything on the roof and killed mileage. Not sure I want to go that way with my Outback.
I'm new here so forgive if I don't understand? I've read the entire thread and what I'm getting is that this is an event coming up for this site with almost 6400 members and it's limited to 60 rigs?
I spend 6 months a year traveling and camping the west, mostly on BLM and dispersed National Forest. I am often by lakes and rivers. I am thinking I would like to get on the water with my dog. I've been looking at all the usual suspects, canoes, kayaks, inflatables etc. What is working for you?
I'm a military brat, didn't sleep on anything but a GI cot till I left home. Spent my outdoor youth hunting, fishing and camping with army surplus equipment. Was the gear perfect? Yes, yes it was, considering the alternative. As for today's equipment and pricing, one size does not fit all.

Last spring while camped outside Sedona Az. got rattlesnake bit. Later in June camped at Grand Lake Co. south of Rocky Mtn N.P. I was attacked and hit by a bull moose. What about you?
I think time permitting yea. Or could split it up over time. Spring and fall, even some of winter are perfect times for those trails. Opening it up forum wide would most likely generate interest.
It's a fun ride, nothing too challenging but still an interesting trip. 120 mi. of dirt, sand and rock. Two overnites if wanted. Requires a permit, free of charge. On one trip Cobra gunships buzzed us , that was serious fun! Not unusual to see smugglers and illegals , border patrol.
Came to OB a couple of days ago and was encouraged to come here. So for better or worse here I am. I'm in Yuma normally winters only but got caught here for the summer this year. I have led a couple of trips through the El Camino Del Diablo Rd. so when it starts cooling maybe we could put...
