    Is it possible to mount it under the passenger seat ? I have my TYT 9800 mounted there and the control head on a mount stuck to the windshield above the try on the dash. I got a little speaker and it's on the kick panel on the passenger side. Maybe?

    I have a 2013 JKU sport and currently it sports a 3.5 inch lift on 35 inch tires and a winch and heavy duty bumpers both front and rear. I traded in my 13 year old TJ and I still paid 18k for but it does have only 48k miles on the odometer. I think you are going to need to raise your budget up...

    I agree knowing how to use a map and compass when the GPS fails can be a life saver. According to my son they still teach in the army today. So that is why I teach all my kids how to use a map and compass since they all like to boondock now and then.
