Hello J-Mah! By far north standards, I figure we're practically neighbors. I hope to do a trip back to up the Dempster Highway this summer, thought you might be interested? Also, should you have any plans for coming into Alaska, please give me a shout.

I also have a Canon T1i that carries my all-in-one lens, the Canon 18 - 200 MM "Kit" lens with image stabilization. This is a fairly reasonable priced lens that allows you to go from moderately wide angle to a moderate tele-zoom. Of course it's not of the image quality as the high end lenses...

I used to sell PLS along with the Spot. IMHO, the PLB is the way to go. Others my like the Spot/Delorme INreach (no offense intended), as we all have our personal preferences. But having sold both, the PLB is a wise choice between the two.

Just my two cents worth on the subject; Iridium Satellite Phone and ACR Electronics Personal Locator Beacon. I always have these two items in the bush. I may have other items as well, but these are mandatory on my list.
