    2WD vs 4WD

True, I have taken my 2wd to places where they say only 4wd should go. You just have to know the limits of your vehicle and avoid the places you would likely get stuck. That being said, I've gotten my 04 2wd tundra stuck just from slowly crossing a decent rut diagonally and it lifted one of my...

    Camp Photos!

Here is a long exposure I got with my phone a couple weeks ago. This was near Two Guns just east of Flagstaff AZ. Out in the middle of nowhere really, but good stars.

Call me crazy....A new indoor heater concept

So it sounds like you are making a custom PC water cooling system, accept you replace the CPU/GPU with a propane water heater. In my experience, the hottest running CPUs (say 200 watts of heat generation) can heat a small room a decent amount but that's in an insulated room and takes a good hour...

Toyota owners, I need your help!

Well at least you weren't being duped the whole time. I too am no expert but could it be some micro crack in the reservoir near the cap? Considering that the air/coolant has to escape somehow, it's either through the cap from pressure relief from being under high pressure, or out somewhere else...

    [AZ] Fire restrictions

Fire restrictions for the national forests in AZ have been in effect for a while now but more recently the state owned land also put up restrictions. Essential, all fires are banned and a huge fine can result from not following. A friends coworker was fined $600...

Someone stole my rims and tent...

Man that really sucks. This is one of my fears when thinking of buying nice stuff, but you seem to have handled it well. Did you report it?

What is your must cook meal or must have food for camping.

Ever hear of hobo meals? You take ground beef, chopped carrots, diced onions, diced potatoes and whatever spices or hot sauces you want and wrap it all in some oiled foil. Then at camp with a fire, you throw it on some hot coals for about 10 minutes each side. It's amazing and you can prep it...

No One has tents in stock!!!(small rant)

Well hopefully a lot of this boom is just people itching to get outside after this rediculous quarantine so it should eventually die back down to what it was before. But even before you still had to book some of those popular camp site way in advance. And hopefully some of those rookies will...

    The small mods

That's something I've been wanting to figure out for a while! Got brighter pod light for my fog lights that act more like flood lights but I can only use them without the brights

Beta 8.0.0.1821 and 1816 Patch Build Notes

Whenever browsing the forum, I often scroll down a ways before opening a thread. I'll read the thread and back out to continue browsing. Only problem is it always restarts back at the top of the list of threads so I have to flick back down a ways and find where I was. If it's possible to...

Just updated today through the play store. Notification links no longer take you to the thread it was notifying you of. I'm on Android with a OnePlus 6T.

    The small mods

Everyone likes to talk about the big mods they do to their rigs such as lifts, tires, armour, lights, storage systems, etc. But I want to hear what small or lesser talked about mods (even free mods) that you really like or have seen. I'll start with a few simple ones. First I cut and rewired...

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

I've been working on a topper for my tundra. Was looking into buying a new topper but the only one in town is leer and they quoted me $1700 - $1900 which is much more than I was expecting and can afford right now. So instead my engineer and fabrication mind kicked into action and designed one in...

Member Map default to no pins

Hey, New here, maybe its been brought up before, but whenever I go to the member map it defaults to load all the pins at the maximum zoom out level so I see all the pins in the entire world. It takes a good 15 seconds for it to fully load each time for me.

    Truck topper question

Engineer here. When a company rates a product for a load, they always have a Factor of Safety (FoS) built in. for example, if the topper would actually fail at 600 lbs, a FoS of 2 means they rate it at 300 lbs (600 lbs divided by 2). In most consumer products it is at least a FoS of 2 if not...

What are you doing to make your 2WD more capable?

I got an 04 2WD Tundra that I lightly wheeled for a few years and got to know how it handles very well. I know its limits and exactly how to handle it in so many situations. I had gotten it stuck a few times in snow/ice or sand. Thankfully there was someone there to pull me out, but maybe a year...
