Do you mean AND just live with the vibration?
I really want to know if you had any vibration issues like this when you lifted yours. Im 99% sure you didn't, or you would have said so already, right?
Hi Aaron (I have that right, yes?),
I hear you, and I've read your posts in your build thread and watched all your videos. Great job, btw. You have the nicest little family and it's really nice to watch you all have so much fun together! :)
Finding your YouTube vids when I was searching for...
They're a good shop. I've been going there for 6 years (since I moved here) for tires. I was very friendly with the owner and knew his son. He sold out, but apparently to another stand-up type of guy. Apparently a friend of the original owner. They might have bitten off a little more than they...
I also went by Big O to see if I could get the old axles to have as spares. Something tells me that there's a broken axle on my future, lol! Guess what? The scrap guy came by and took them yesterday. So that's a bummer. He said the new ones are "OES" (Orig Eq Spec???) FVP brand. Opinions on that...
The 4x4 shop is thinking it's probably more of a drive train issue vs axles. That's also what the Honda guy said too. I made an appointment to bring it in Monday for a diagnostic. Once they determine what's wrong, we can go from there. Fingers crossed.
Next stop: the custom 4x4 place here in town. If they can't get me straightened out, nobody can. I live in Prescott, AZ. We have endless dirt roads and trails here. There are some serious 4x 's driving around. My quad's even street legal here.
Not yet. I picked it up Wednesday night and yesterday's the first day I really drove it. I'm gonna do that today, but wanted to start here because if Aaron's videos. I'm also gonna swing by Honda ths morning and talk to the service manager. It's just up the street from my place.
It looks awesome though! I parked it next to a new TRD Taco yesterday and rolled around on the ground with my tape measure and my clearance is as-good, if not better. So I'm psyched about that! The height to the bottom of the doors is notably higher on the Tacoma, but so what? It's about not...
I bought it through Amazon, so probably. I've always had great experience with Amazon. But what I want is for it to work! Either way, I'm out major bucks. I assume the tires I bought won't fit without the lift. I'm sure Big O would swap them out for some amount if credit, but just buying new...
I have the print-out from Big-O ... I'll scan it or take pics and try to post it up here later ... that said, there was no discussion at all that alignment was a problem.
Yes, I saw your posts about this. They had this problem with the original axles, which was why they changed them out with brand new ones. They didn't charge me for them, as they really steped-up. They also honored their original estimate of 2 hrs to do the job, but the have WAY more into it. I...
