    Cheaperlanding

So my father became ill a few years back and ended up passing away. My wife and I bought my parents house while he was sick to get them to a new place quickly. My parents ended up leaving a huge amount of "junk" in the garage which has been pretty frustrating to deal with. I just spent the day...

Looking for a first time day trip in northern california

Hey guys. My wife finally agreed to a bit of camping this month. She wants to rent a yurt out of yosemite unless I come up with a better idea. I'm looking for a really easy day trail some where. I have no off road experience to speak of and a stock tacoma. I have an axe and a shovel with some...

Best Bang for Buck Overland Rig

My 2001 gmc pick up went 215k with only repair, a blown coolant hose. Sadly what finally did go was the axle and it was half the values of the truck to replace. Besides that it was just oil changes brakes and tires. It'll be interesting to see if my Toyota can do the same.

Rtt's pricing compared to ground tents?

I'm so glad you guys linked the oz tent. If nothing else because it anchors pricing for rtt's, plus it is a nice piece of equipment. Rtt's pricing compared to ground tents?

I wanted to open up this thread for experiences and opinions about roof top tents as compared to their ground counter parts. I really love the idea of a quick deploy tent that's up in the air and frankly it's one of the only ways to make my wife feel comfortable with camping. However, like most...

A couple basic questions about rtt's and their supporting racks

I didn't realize so many of the suppliers were near me. I think a trip to the bay might be a great way to find out which products will work for me. Sent from my iPhone using OB Talk

A couple basic questions about rtt's and their supporting racks

Hey guys Im planning my first overland family trip at the end of next summer. Ive got a young family and find it to be the perfect way to disconnect everyone from tv screens. So I've bought a new truck and I plan to pick up everything second hand. My first question is when I buy a rear bed rack...

Hiya just bought my first 4x4 pickup. Interested dirt road and light off roading. I'll be acquiring used camping gear over the next year or so in order to make that happen. It is my daily driver so nothing to crazy :)
