    Had a great first meetup of the Sierra Foothills Overlanders meet up. Very interesting presentation from @OBB on his trip to Baja plus we had our new years raffle. M&J Automotive hosted the meet up and donated several raffle prizes. Its going to be a good year for our meet up. Remember anyone can start a meet up just go to Rally Point and get started.

    Off to the Mendocino NF for a couple of days to make sure the Gladiators new rear end is working correctly before we head out on the CDT next month.

    Got to give a huge shout out to two of our Ambassadors @Firemom & @Magic Mike together they are Ironhorse Overland. These two have been adding a large number of POI's and tracks to the OB 1 App from the Mojave National Preserve. You guys are awesome, THANKS!!!

    Your welcome. It’s been a lot of fun and hopefully we’ll have more to add before we leave.
    Encourage everyone to go to volunteer.gov and check out the Mojave Rover program. It’s new and has some start up growing pains but is well worth the time.

    Thank you @Kent R, but we have been truly enjoying our time here at Mojave National Preserve. Volunteering in the National Parks gives us a unique way to give back to the places with love to spend time!

    Like @Firemom (my lovely wife) said, I would encourage anyone and everyone that loves our National Parks to come out and Volunteer!!!! They won’t be sorry they did it!

    Thanks to everyone that has been adding POI's and Tracks to the app. I approved 20 in just the last hour, very cool to see the map filling up with all sorts of resources.

    Not looking forward to installing a new duel battery system in the JT. We are expecting a storm so its a good time to get in the shop and get after it.

    Hello Kent, my name is John Cross and I live in north Alabama. I very much want to drive the CDT but I'm having no luck here finding someone interested in going with me. My intentions are to do the NM section first, I would like to find someone willing to go with me but I'm not sure how to go about it. I would like to do it the fall of 2024, can you provide me with some guidance?

    Just stoped by Rack and Road Car Rack and supply store in Sacramento Ca. They are getting a nice inventory of overland and recovery equipment in stock. They are a OVS dealer.

    I would have liked to have gone with your group to Afton Canyon but I have a doctor appointment Monday morning.

    I will be at expo Friday - Sometime Sunday. Look for Michaels 80 on display, I should be there or Michael will know how to get in touch with me. I have several meetings but plan on walking the show.

    Kent, do you have a go to shop in the Bay Area that you would recommend to regear a 2020 Wrangler? My jeep is stashed in Santa Cruz area for the next 4-6 weeks, and while its not being used, i'd like to get it regeared to get my 8th gear back on the highway. any recommendations and why, would be greatly appreciated. regards, j

    Actually the shop is in Diamond Springs. He is the best axle shop I know. Dan Taylor, Taylor Axleworks 530-409-9938. Dan has done two of mine plus just about every other rig in the Sierra Foothills Overlanders.
    If it turns out to be to far contact Shaffers Offroad 510-431-3094 I am not sure if he does it but he is the best offroad shop in the Bay Area.

    Just wondering if Overlandbound will have a booth at Overland Expo East this year (2021). If there is one and you need volunteers, I'm willing to be a volunteer. I'm getting there Thursday October 7th roughly around 8am, so I can help set-up the tent and displays.

    You are not showing as a member something must have gone wrong during your activation. Please email support@overlandbound.com and he should be able to fix it fast. I would do it but I am out of town at a large Trail Guardian Event in the Mojave Desert.
