Went to VW-team @ Tolbert/ Groningen/ NL. Nice VW Tech-Team and excellent interaction with the ca 20 VW-T2…T5 owners…. All different works and all same spirit of learning & helping each other. Loved the ‘vibe’ going on!

Testing various elements in my VW-T5 Doka. I also had a campsite testing (3days) and found that the diesel-cabin-heater for a warm temp was not working. Cold nights with extra clothing…. It’s going to be fixed by the VW tech team in a few weeks (…while better weather is coming, and more meetings)
Currently fixing elements like lights, battery, re-do kitchen&freezer, roof-solar panels with converter to 220V (EU), and a bull-bar plus HUD display for rough terrain….
Fixing & testing with VW club and finding some friends….
Ok, for now I’m (re-)completing tech parts of my ride, and meeting the NL VW tech team in Tolbert. Next will be the VW campsite in may, and then ….. “Grand tour”
My birthplace is NL, “Den Helder” and via a nr of places in Curaçao, and 7 NL living loc’s, plus 12+ int. IT work-places I and my (2nd) wife live in an 1870 house in Twist (an about 2000 ppl with ‘traditional history’ and ancient buildings). Our pension has VW T5 Doka activity & finding new routes.
