there is no real "ozark trail". its just a culmination of several roads in a planned route per se. We just competed in the Overland Challenge and had a blast. We did a scouting run a month ago, and were also out there in april for a fun trip, and did not hit any of the same trails at any time...

im using backcountry navigator on a galaxy s5 (android). its great! it has a crap ton of features and a pretty good learning curve to go with it, but its def worth it. you have a large selection of maps to choose from (some are free, and some you have to have a annual subscription to download)...
