    Slab city/Salton sea

Looking to throw a bachelor party/camp trip and we wanted to check out slab city. Does anyone know if that area NE of the Salton sea is public lands? Is there any good camping near the mountains out there? I know there is a red canyon jeep trail and the old trestle Bridge.

    Sequoia vs GX460 vs....?

I second the Suburban recommendation. The 2500 would be the one to get though, much stronger and more reliable drivetrain. The 5.3l, 6.0l, 6.2l chevy motors are bullet proof and rival the Toyotas in reliability. highly recommended

Why did you go with your current vehicle?

for me and my family I chose the Suburban K2500. We are a family of 4 and 2 little dogs. On our 1 nighter trips we can all sleep inside the truck and for our week long trips I can take all the gear and still have room. I went with the 2500 because I wanted the beefier transmission and axles...
