Ran part of the T.W.A.T. a few weeks ago

I too am planning on doing this later this year. I am thinking when the trees start changing colors.

    off road trailer packing

I am in the planning stages of a trailer build. Most likely I will have a main box with side cabinets. In one of the side cabinets I plan to store most if not all of the kitchen stuff. The fold down door acting as a make shift counter. I would love to hear and see how others with trailers handle...

    Hammocks

I actually installed one in my youngest's room. He slept 3 straight months in it. I installed some Amsteel loops in a stud on two walls using 3 inch screws and fender washers. Works like a charm!

    Hammocks

You don't need trees! This only cost me about $60 to make. Only took a hour or so and it works great. If you would like directions I could dig them up for you.

Just passed my Technicians exam tonight

Thanks for the quick response. Lots of good info there. I am going to start on the General exam this week. I have talked my wife into at least taking the Tech exam, so I am having her get ready for that and hopefully we can go take our respective tests together.

After reading some posts on OB a couple weeks ago about Ham radios, I decided to stop putting it off any longer and figure out how to get a license. So after about a week and a half of studying the answers I took the test tonight and passed with only one wrong answer. I encourage anyone who is...

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

I treated the inside of my frame rails with Eastwoods internal frame coating. Definitely a 4 can job. Any full size rigs I would suggest 6 cans to be on the safe side. It was one can per coat per side for me. Sent from my iPhone using OB Talk

    Vehicle Fire Extinguisher

Also, make sure they are properly mounted with the pin inserted securely. You don't want an accidental discharge. The dry chem is highly corrosive. I use to be a fire extinguisher tech. While driving down the road one day I had a unit fall over and discharge. My truck cab was open to the back...

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

I gave the TJ a much needed colonoscopy for about 3 hours! The little Rigid flexible scope camera was an awesome tool to make sure I got out all the rust and sand that had accumulated in the frame rails. The other two invaluable tools were the blow gun with clear tubing and the vac with the...
