I've lived in the Pacific Northwest for the last 32 years. I joined the Navy and NAS Whidbey Island was my first duty station... It was also my last and most of my in between duty stations as well. I retired from the Navy in December 2007 and moved to Houston, Texas for a couple of years while working in the oil field. It didn't take long for me to miss Washington Stated and so my wife and I moved back.

My entire life, I've been an adventure seeker and explorer. I've summited Mount Baker (5 times), Mount Adams (Once) and many smaller peaks all over the Northern half of the Cascades here in Washington. I am a thrill seeker for sure and mountain biking has been my thrill of choice for well over 20 years now. I've jumped out of perfectly good planes and loved every second of it.

Well, because I am such a thrill seeker, my body has been beatin' up pretty good. I can no longer do many of the things I used to do like climb and currently can't mountain bike. Yep, busted up a knee somewhere down the line while doing any number of things. I just recently (as of this writing) had an MRI and it was discovered I have a torn Meniscus, sprained MCL, and an oblique tear on my Patella. Of course, along with all that mess, I have massive spurs and even onset arthritis.

Still though, that does not stop me, I am currently big time into Kayaking and still hike even though the VA told me to stay off hills and carrying packs. Sorry, no can do! Fix my knee so I can get back out there and explore...

In all those adventures, I've always had a trusty Jeep Wrangler to get me there and back home again. I've just recently been bit by the overland bug and like all other adventures, I go all in! My wife calls me wacko... and she's probably right. LOL So, that's just a bit about me and the world I live in. How about you? What's your story?
