Afternoon to all. I am around Massanutten area and have not been to a meet. Challenge is weekends are not good for me, as I have obligations on the weekends. So someday if there is a week day meet, I can make it. Glad to read VA is active!!

Spending a few days in the Great Smoky National Park. Doing some radio activations and huking while here, along rt 441. And just plain enjoying the time, Great outdoors though not enjoying all the tourist around here.....

Yep the new fee is there right now, still cheaper than before, and probably worth it for a 10 yr license. Even Hams who get a new license or renew have the $35 fee now!!! Fun being had by all!

Wow, lots of advice one way or the other. Yes several radios are out there, can be used for many freqs, depending upon where you want to talk, distance, what freq, HF, VHF/UHF etc. Even a Marine band radio can be used to program different freqs that can be used out there. Also, the Multi-Use...

I believe the fee is now $35, changed just recently.

Been up to the tower a lot when I lived in Woodstock and been to Capon.

I'm a geocacher for a number of years, not high number in finds around 679 ish, but for many years, on and off. Is there a current list of caches? especially for me in the western portion of VA? curious! thanks
