    I suspect you'll be fine. Just watch the forecast. It's nice to have a little buddy heater just to break the chill in the morning when you're getting up, etc. Don't make my mistake and wear too much clothing to bed. If your bag is that warm it'll make you sweat and then you WILL get cold.

    What area do you have in mind? There's not really a limit other than your preparation. We've done OB trips down into the teens at night with 9 in of snow. What sort of tent and/or cold weather gear do you have, if any? It all goes back to watching the forecast and what elevation you plan...

    FWIW, I've done all the trails you mentioned multiple times in my stock Chevrolet Avalanche with only the factory skids, no sliders, 32" tires.
