Amateur Radio online testing with WM7X

A question I get asked a lot is; “Where do I take my test for amateur radio license?” The go to answer used to be go find a local club and set up your test through them. Now however, online testing is becoming more prominent. The largest online testing group is WM7X. Stephen Hutchenson has...

    Winter recovery gear

I disagree. A 4 season tent is not essential for survival… even with temps way below zero degrees Fahrenheit. Neither is a winter rated sleeping bag. A thick wool blanket, and an emergency “space” blanket is all a person needs for shelter inside their rig. What I would have given for even an...

The End is the Beginning is the End

I traded the broken down Expedition for the Ram, still have the Bronco with the expectation of selling it in the spring. The Rhino Rack is too long to fit on top in the traditional sense, but I’m looking into options to make it work. If not, it will be up for sale as well.

    Adventure of a Lifetime

The cost and the modularity is what sold me on the trailer. The trailer is currently being built and should be finished by the end of September. Once the trailer is done I’ll be posting pictures and a full review

    Dometic CFX3 55IM 12V not working

The problem is that cigarette lighter adapters don’t make a very good contact on both the ground and power connection points. It’s best to make a hard connection with either power poles or directly to the battery.
