Just started another thread, my Christmas statement earlier is still great for routes which I alone am using. When I want to join another group trip, getting the trip leaders .gpx into OB1 on my tablet is proving to be a bit of a challenge.

Is there a way to import a gpx in the resource/web map then sync to my tablet? I am joining a group on a route, have a gpx on my mac, can sync to my iPad but am having difficulty getting it to my Samsung tablet for use in OB1. If only the iPad had a GPS chip...then I would never need to...

Yep, did it. With Christmas gift cards, I purchased the Tab S6 Lite with the gps on the snapdragon chip. It is so much smoother for nav. Don't worry, no chance of me switching to the android ecosystem, but for nav and setup, man this thing is slick and a longer battery life than pairing my ipad...

So for Christmas I purchased a Samsung Tab S6 lite, just for the gps receiver in the snapdragon chip. As a fully committed fruit user (iCloud, mac, iPhone, ipad) that on board gps makes things work much better than pairing my ipad with my iPhone or Garmin inReach.

Agreed @Ubiety - iPad Air 3, wifi only. Works well, but needs the gps connection through another device, otherwise works iPad OS 15.7, OB1 11.11.2
