    Before you Buy Rooftop Tent

I think it was in my first post i said the only way i could see it working well, was if you put one on a trailer. Because who wants to break down camp every time they want to use their truck. But at the end of the day, i dont want to sleep in a bunk bed i want to stand up when i cook, i want...

    Before you Buy Rooftop Tent

Yeah, but i dont move on everyday. I drive to a spot and set up camp for weeks. I travel with 5 big sled dogs. And do my day trips from camp on a dog sled usually. Storage isn’t really a problem. I drive a CCLB 1 ton.

    Before you Buy Rooftop Tent

Yeah, no lions in Canada. We do have wind rain, snow and -35c temperatures tho. ‍♂️

    Before you Buy Rooftop Tent

Nope, never owned one. Im sure theyre great in the southwest. But in the rain and snow of British Columbia. Not worth it at all. Theres no way in hell youre going to be able to dry out wet gear, give your dogs a place to sleep or cook a meal in one. Theyre too small and too low. For half the...

    Nebo Slyde King Flashlight ($40CAD)

Yeah, i just picked up the Slyde King 2k. Its just as good, but has 2000 lumens instead of 500. And I really liked the 500. It was great for everything i needed. They make good products.

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

That looks cool. Where i live were not allowed to tint the front side windows. But that looks sharp. I like it.

    Before you Buy Rooftop Tent

Yeah, but you have to pull all your gear out to close it up. You cant stand up in it to change. You cant dry out gear in it or sit down and work on something, or cook a meal. You have to climb in to it with wet gear on. Your dog cant hangout with you when youre in it. If youre the kind of...

    Before you Buy Rooftop Tent

Im not a fan of RTTs. I think theyre a waste of money and not particularly practical. Theyre a gimmick for weekend warriors IMO. Way to many short comings. I wouldnt want to use one when i was drunk, sick or injured. I dont like the idea of having to empty my tent of all my gear and closing the...

Has anyone called out the new Ford Bronco's trail turn assist?

One of my first vehicles was a ‘69 baja bug. My dad and i full restored from the ground up. And we put a break splitter in it so you could lock either rear wheel. It was so handy that ive installed it on all my rigs since. So its not exactly new technology.

    Jump starter for 6.5L diesel?

I live in Canada. I dont use jumpstarts for my diesel. I wire in isolated batteries just for my starter. When its -20 nothing wants to start. But two extra batteries go along way when you uave to crank her over for a minute.

"CHUCK" 1998 Chevy Suburban K2500 Build

When i was about ten years old i saw a ‘95 F350 crew cab long box. And ever since then i wanted one. The guy i got this one off of had an offer come in on it for $4500. But he said and I quote. “The guy was an asshole, so i didnt sell it to him”. He was asking $3500. He sold it to me for $3000...

    Western expedition in a 2wd

Ive done a lot of wheeling from the Yukon to Baja. And the area youre talking about checking out is both heavily developed and populated. Bring a winch, a snatch block and some traction boards. And put a locker in the back if you want to get ambitious. And make sure you tell people where you’re...
