All,
To make room for the future fuel basket/carrier, I modified and relocated the stabilizer legs.
It turns out that the stabilizer legs fit/store very conveniently to the rear if you remove the feet and bore new holes for the horizontal position.
I reasoned that since I will never load the trailer to the Mil-specs, I do not need the feet and they just get in the way when mounted to the rear.
Note, if I ever need to land helicopters on my trailer, the feet can be reattached.
The only downside is that the tailgate will not open completely when the legs are stored horizontally in the rear. No biggy, just reposition down when you need tailgate access.
The final work will be removing the four(4) stabilizer hangers from the front.
