NE Illinois, Gathering of Overlanders

We (Wanderlost Overland) would like to invite you all to a gathering at the River Road Rally Park in McHenry Illinois Saturday September 8th. This won't be anything fancy or official, just a bunch of us getting together and do a little "light" off-roading, check out each other's rigs, and talk about overlanding stuff.

Rally Point Details:

The off-road park is perfect for those with little or no off-road experience as all the obstacles can easily be avoided. Great for practicing going in and out of 4wheel drive, using your traction controls, and seeing just what your rig is capable of. Most new owners are pleasantly surprised! It still offers some excitement for seasoned off-roaders though with some mud pits, steep hills, and even a water crossing if you dare.
We'll be arriving soon after they open the gate at 10:00 but you can show up at anytime. The park is small enough where you'll easily find us. At noon we'll gather and pose for a group picture at the approach to the steep hills at the north end. This is also a great time to eat a picnic lunch.
Please let us know that you're coming out so we have an idea of how many will be joining us. We'll likely be driving our yellow FJ Cruiser, maybe our red 4Runner. If you have a CB we'll be on channel 19.
