Rally Point Details:

Meet up at Boarder town Casino parking lot at 8:30 AM. This is a good place to get gas, water, snacks, etc. We will head out at 9:00 AM to the trail head at Frenchman Lake. This will be a 30 minute drive.

Round trip "trail" driving time around 3 hours depending on our pace. The goal is to be back at the beach around 1:PM for lunch and, if you want, a dip in the lake.

Notes:

Crystal picking is wide open , no restrictions. you can find some partial hexagonal quarts crystal and it is very similar to the quarts mine in Dog valley.

2 wheel drive could get up certain areas with assistance but definitely will need to park their vehicle a hundred yards or so from the peak area as the last bit is steep and some big granite bedrock to dodge. I am sure you can grab a seat in another Rig for this stretch. For us with our 4WD's its an interesting obstacle to climb.

Timing is always loose for these rides. The estimations above are relatively good though.

Make sure you bring your HAM radio and/or FRS if you have them.

and, Don't forget your bathing suit.

Make sure you RSVP
