In wetter years this route serves as the basis for a wildflower hunt through southeastern California. In 2025 the focus will be on the geologic differences across this highly varied landscape. This family friendly group is mostly folks with larger overland trailers (23-29 feet), but all are welcome. We'll meet up just north of Barstow and then spend a couple of nights each in Anza Borrego, the newly designated Chuckwalla National Monument, Joshua Tree, Mojave Preserve and Death Valley. Day trip options for the stayover day are numerous in each of these locations, or folks can use the time to admire the spectacular scenery around camp. The route will be fairly easy, with one or two moderate, but still "traier-able" sections. Stops for fuel and provisions will be every few days. Camp setup will be dependent on number of rigs and the space available, but we'll have at least one potluck and nightly campfires where safe/permitted.

16-Feb-Note: I'm limiting this to 5 rigs because I already have 10 trailer rigs from non-OB sources, but want to extend the opportunity for this trip to my OB friends, especially those who have expressed interest.
