Rally Point Details:

A poem to get you there

In San Ysidro, our journey begins,

Where open roads and adventure blend.

Follow the highway where whispers reside,

Past ancient pueblos with spirits as guides.

Through Jemez Springs, where waters run deep,

By the place where one drink is yours to keep.

Up the mountain, where the climb grows steep,

To the fork where Amanda quietly sleeps.

Turn on the path where fish are born,

Over the mountain, where day meets Fenton’s dawn.

The road turns to dust, yet trust its lead,

Keep your tires firm, for pavement’s ahead indeed.

Where the Rock Creek flows, take a right,

Into the woods, where air feels light.

Air down your tires, but don’t float away,

Follow the path, stay true to your way.

Past old cabins, weathered with time,

And the little girl’s grave from 1910’s prime.

Stay on 103, let it guide your quest,

For 193 awaits, where the road’s at its best.

If you pass the kettle, you’ve gone too far.

Turn up the two-track, engage four low,

Through mud and rock, where wildflowers grow,

And the wind whispers soft, as the wild things show,

The track will lead you, true and strong.

Stay left at the fork, don’t waver, the end is near,

Around the last bend, the camp lights will appear.

Overland Rendezvous, where travelers unite,

In the heart of the wild, beneath the stars’ light.
