Rally Point Details:
This trip is expected to be a 5 night to 6 day adventure sure to satisfy anyone wanting to explore a portion of the planned route or only a portion of the trip.
Day 1- Meet Up at any one of Three Possible Locations:
- North Las Vegas Aliante Hotel Parking Lot near Valet Lot 0700 AM
- Loves Truck Stop at US 93 and US 15 0750 AM
- Gold Butte Road at State Route 170 0850 AM
Camp Night 1-Whitney Pocket Area
Day 2 - Friends of Gold Butte Tour of local petroglyphs and vicinity
Camp Night 2 - Gold Butte Town Site or Little Finland
Day 3 - Head to Tassi Ranch, AZ
Camp Night 3 - Grand Gulch Mine and Wilderness Areas
Day 4 - Grand Gulch Mine and vicinity
Camp Night 4 & 5 - Oak Grove or Twin Point Overlook (Need to Decide Big Pine Tree Cover or Small Pine Oak Overlook)
Day 5 - Overland Day Trips (Hikes to Overlooks, Possible 4WD small trips- GAS EVALUATION NEEDED prior to any extra travel)
Day 6 - Trip Ends Leave for St. George, fuel, grocery up, head home.
- Start Point: 7300 North Aliante Parkway, North Las Vegas, NV, USA GPS Coordinates: 36.29317, -115.1791 Notes: Caravan meeting at parking lot adjacent to Valet Lot.
- WayPoint 1: 12501 Apex Great Basin Way, Nevada, USA GPS Coordinates: 36.38151, -114.89629 Notes: If need be, we can stage vehicles on public road exiting fuel station.
- End Point: Gold Butte Road @ State Route 170 GPS Coordinates: 36, 114 Notes: Last waypoint meetup prior to going OFF ROAD
