Rally Point Details:
Come join us for a camp fire, cookout, playlists and and relaxation. Bring your family! Bring your dog! Bring a fishing pole, kayaks, football, chairs and tables or whatever else you need to chill at the shoreline. Check out the other rigs, meet new people, make new friends.
Please note that an OSV permit is required to access the beach area and recovery equipment is recommended and required. That includes a shovel, tow straps, and Hi-Lift jack. There will be traction mats there and at least a few winches. Stop off at the Ranger Station when you arrive for up to the minute closure information.
Assateague Island boasts about 22 Kilometers of sand to drive on! But stay off the dunes please. This isn't really a wheeling event; this is a relaxation event that takes some offroad driving to get to.
Needs: Firewood to share, bring food to share, water, drinks of your choice, trash bags, bug spray and sunscreen.
I hope to see you there! Look for the base camp flag. Just call out for me, "Where's Bear?"
**Please note that there may be beach closings due to nesting birds or other migratory animals. Stop off at the Ranger's station to check in and learn about any alerts and beach closures. Because of this summer time limitation it'll be difficult to pin point an exact location so please just look for the flag.
- Start Point: Bayberry Dr, Berlin, MD 21811, USA GPS Coordinates: 38.17398, -75.16344 Notes: Remember your OSV pass at the Ranger Station.
