395 / Inyo NF For 3 days

This is a 3 day trip to the Inyo NF near Mono Lake. Oct 27-29.

Leaving from Napa @ Noon on 10/27. If that’s too early, you can meet us there. Let me know, and I’ll send coordinates.

We will be visiting Copper Mtn, Bald Mtn, and Sagehen Peak

Rally Point Details:

Planning a 3 day trip to the Inyo NF off of the 395. This trip will be from 10/27 to 10/29. We will leave from Napa @12:00 and either drive halfway or all the way to Inyo NF. If we stop halfway, I have a spot we can camp along the Sonora Pass. If we decide to drive all the way to Inyo NF, we can do that too. The trip will be about driving through the forest on trails and visiting, Copper Mountain, Bald Mountain, and Sagehen Peak. The campsites will be dispersed. Some have restrooms, but most DON’T. There is NO water at any of the campsites. There is a rest stop, market, and fuel near by on the 395 should anyone need anything.

I’ve done the research, and the weather shows no rain… but it will be very cold at night. The temperature at night shows to be 25°-29°. Make sure you come prepared to keep warm.

Fire permits… California requires a fire permit. If you’ll be using a camp stove, or having a camp fire. It’s an easy video to watch and quiz online to get a fire permit. The fire permit is good until end of year.
