Leavitt Lake Fall Family Camp

Catch the cool Fall weather and the last of the colorful Aspen at 9600'! This is a family friendly overlanding trip to beautiful Leavitt Lake. The meetup is the camp at Leavitt Lake (see map). Call me on 146.460 or 408-480-9583 if you'd like help navigating the last couple of miles to the top (high clearance required, 4x4 recommended), else we'll see you there! We'll be camping above the lake behind the first knoll to the north (left as you get to the lake).

Rally Point Details:

The meetup is the camping location at Leavitt Lake, so no need to get up early or even take Friday off. We'll be quite casual the whole time. There is an optional backroads trip to several ghost towns on Saturday. The weather will be cool (into the 20's at night, 50's during the day), so plan accordingly. Fires are allowed with a Fire Permit, so bring some wood! We'll see if there is enough interest in a potluck on Saturday night. For those interested we'll go down the hill a bit on Sunday morning to do some target practice/plinking (BYO).
