Lunching on top of Sundance

There have been a few recent requests for day trips so here we go! Sundance Lookout has one of the most spectacular views of Priest Lake and I thought this would be a great place to go for lunch. Should be some great autumn colors too. We will meet in Priest River at the Conoco/Mac's Gas on Hwy 57, in case anyone needs to fill up.

Rally Point Details:

The route is highway until we get to the turnoff near the lake which turns to dirt. Last time I was up there, the road was a mix of gravel, dirt and rocks near the top. The lookout has a large parking area and the manned season is over but I would bet the lookout is locked. FYI, deer season (any weapon) opens October 10th up here. The roads may be busy so I will be driving slowly around corners, expecting someone to be there. This is my first trip to lead, so please be patient! I will try to be as informative as possible. Hoping that weather isn't an issue (snow, ice) but if it is, we will cancel and try another time. Bring a lunch or we can decide to do potluck. I'm open to both. I will post a route soon.
