Rally Point Details:
The plan is to explore the southern section of the Stanislaus National Forest, which borders right along the Yosemite National Park. This trip will be 2 full days of adventuring with beautiful scenic views, traversing on some historic dirt roads and stopping at multiple points of interest along the way.
Some of the points of interest we’ll be exploring:
- Historic Briceburg Bridge
- Burma Grade Switchbacks
- Bull Creek
- Pilot Peak Look Out
- Tuolumne River
- Old Coulterville Yosemite Road
- Little Nellie Falls
This will be a fairly mellow adventure with the goal of getting to know each other on our first adventure out. The trails will consist of fairly well-maintained dirt roads and the camp site location will depend on how large the group is and travel time.
We’ll be meeting up at the Bass Pro Shop parking lot (our monthly meet up location) on Saturday the 16th at 6:30AM with wheels up at 6:45AM SHARP. From there we’ll travel as a group to Mariposa to fuel up. (other meet up locations can be arranged if you're joining from outside of the South Bay, just message me)
A group message will be sent out to everyone who plans to attend the trip a week before the trip date, containing more information, GPX track information and any further updates.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me directly! Look forwarding to seeing you all on the trails!
