Rally Point Details:
Meet up at 8:45 am in the southeast corner of the Costco parking lot in Rohnert Park. Travel north on Highway 101 with a couple of stops for gas/bio breaks, then take Branscomb Road over to Highway 1 and go north to just past the Usal Road turnoff in order to air down. Out Usal Road to Usal Beach. Camp for night based on weather forecast (wind). Optional 7am Saturday hike to the Enchanted Forest of Shady Dell. Depart 8am Saturday back out to Highway 1 up to Highway 101 North at Leggett and then take the Redwood Scenic Highway to the Humboldt Redwoods Visitor Center. Optional hike in the Founders grove and then lunch on the gravel bar next to the Eel River. North again on Highway 101 with a stop for fuel & bio break at the Costco in Eureka, then back on Highway 101 to Klamath and out to Klamath River near Klamath Glen (campsite depending on river conditions, but we'll try for close to last year). Depart Klamath 8am Sunday for either home or optional side trips: several options - Drury Scenic Parkway, Fern Canyon, Agate Beach, Seascape Restaurant, Samoa Cookhouse. Rigs find their own way home from either the town of Klamath or one of the optional side trips.

- In my mind I am always at a remote high-elevation lake surrounded by snowcapped peaks.
