Gold Lake to Sierra Buttes

Saturday 8/13/2022 10 am start at Gold Lake 4x4 campground and pick up the Deer Lake trail and head South to Deer Lake for Lunch and take in the views. Continue South to the Sierra Buttes Trail and over to the Fire Lookout. Hike to the Fire Lookout and take in the views. Continue South on the Sierra Buttes trail to Sierra City at Hwy 49.

It is my understanding that the Gold Lake 4x4 campground gets filled up on the weekends so if you plan to camp there you may want to secure a site on Friday. I will be camping at the main Gold Lake campground. Lake.
