Rally Point Details:
August 5-7th. Leavitt Lake is at the top of Hwy 108 and is a shallow snow melt lake with stunning views of the eastern Sierras. This is a dispersed campsite and you must pack out what you pack in. It is likely that fire restrictions will be in place for camp fires, but propane fire pits should be allowed. We will keep updated on this.
We will meet up at the lake and you can determine when it is best for you to get there. Depending upon wind we may even do an outdoor movie night. Bring your kayaks, bikes, hiking shoes and chairs to relax in. We will stay put for the weekend.
To access the lake you will need to summit Hwy 108 and just over to the eastern side is the turn off for Leavitt Lake. The dirt road in requires a high clearance vehicle but isn’t too difficult, but not appropriate for a sedan. There usually is a small water crossing next to the lake of a foot or so. We will secure a general area as pictured.
