It’s time to get the Ohio Backroad Overland tour up and running again this year the spring trip we are going to Basecamp out of hook lake campground a Jesse Owens Aep recreational area.
THIS EVENT IS FREE OF CHARGE TO ATTEND AND TAKE GUIDED TOUR!!

The Aep Jesse Owens recreational area is all FREE camping.

Depending on attendees we may set this up as multiple route options for some more extreme off roading for those that wish to test their driving limits in their truck abilities and then more novice runs with some fun challenge sections.
We will also be traveling portions of the trans Ohio trail and southern Ohio adventure trail.
We will be traveling through backroad sections of Zanesville possibly seeing the paddlewheel on the Muskingum River, State Route 666. Blue rock State Park, miners memorial, hocking hills, old mans cave, ghost towns various sections of Aep reclaimed coal mine region some of them will have some challenging Unmaintained roads
We will be traveling through the Zelinski state park area Moonville tunnel, Kingshollow tunnel (unfortunately we will not be able to drive Kingshollow tunnel as we have done in the past as it is now not open the vehicle traffic.)
We will visit ghost towns old coal mining towns wildlife areas and covered bridges.
Hocking Hills region old mans cave lots of unmaintained and unimproved roads.
There’s no motorized OHV vehicles allowed to be ridden in the campgrounds or on the trip. Side-by-side’s four wheeler’s unlicensed motor vehicles prohibited.(Ebikes currently allowed in campgrounds )
Dual sports touring motorcycles are all welcome. Several of these routes are capable by stock four-wheel-drive. Some routes will be designated by vehicle requirements so people can choose their own adventure!!
Everyone will be required to have a vehicle with license and insurance that are street legal in your state
There is typically not firewood available on site we will be passing through many numerous towns in areas where we can get firewood groceries and any supplies folks might need. There is fuel available along the route at many service stations.
