Ishi Wilderness Exploration.

We will be doing an overnight-er / exploring the Ishi Wilderness. We will be meeting in Old Town Cottonwood at 8:00 am Saturday morning where we will be heading towards Paines Creek for some back roads exploring and an overnight-er in the Ishi Wilderness.

Rally Point Details:

A great low elevation ( 1500 ft) national forest just outside of Red Bluff California at the foot hills of Mount Lassen. A twenty mile drive in on simple fire roads to an impressive deep canyon which contains at wonderful meadow with a year round running creek. Plenty of side trips for those interested in more adventurous driving. Great trip for all levels of ability. Camp area at the bottom of the canyon has 12 fire pits and the area looks like it should easily hold 25 vehicles or more. More trail information to come.
