Rally Point Details:

This is a Texas Hill Country / Oxford Ranch Campground Meet-Up for DFW Area Overland Bound Members, who are looking to explore some of the Hill Country and see some of the local sites. We will begin gathering the evening of Friday November 13th at Oxford Ranch Campground (Primitive (tent) is $8 per person per night). We will depart Saturday morning around 10am for some local back road routes (route TBD). We will stop for lunch on the trail before completing our route in Fredericksburg. There may be a few water crossings but shouldn't be anything significant.

Oxford Ranch Campground is a cash only park and no reservation required. Gates close at 10PM

Update 10/27/2020

Just an update from the previous planning at our parking lot meet-up. This route will not include a trip to Hidden Falls Off-road Park as part of the event, however it is very close by and anyone can choose to go and pay for admission at anytime during this trip. The current route we are planning will be parts of the Hill Country loop, Jamie (wilsonjamie1970) was kind enough to map out the route for us. Again this is not set in stone as weather may play a factor in river crossings or trail accessibility.

Those who have not been to the Hill Country, there are many great local sites worth checking out. Fredericksburg has some great restaurants, wineries, and local breweries.

A few of us plan on bringing something to share as part of a Saturday night camp dinner, so if you would also like to bring a side or dish it would be greatly appreciated.

If you have any questions please let me know. Mario
