Explore Southern Mojave and Route 66 around Barstow
Meet up each morning at 9:00 a.m. at Roy's Cafe (located at 413 E. Main St, Barstow, California) then proceed out for some overlanding (rather than "rock crawling") in the Southern Mojave and Route 66 around Barstow. Stops will likely include some old mines, petroglyph sites and other points of interest both on road and off. Anticipated trails are: Ord Mountain (30 miles dirt); Daggett Wash (15 miles dirt); Starbright Mine & Stone Cabin (30 miles dirt); Black Canyon (34 miles dirt); and Rodman Mountains (34 miles dirt). Your choice of overnight accommodations in Barstow or camping nearby. Come out for as much or as little as you want!
