Alabama Hills Weekend

The Alabama Hills under Mt. Whitney is one of our favorite destinations. The views are incredible and access is easy. There are also harder trails in the area for people who want a bit of challenge.

Please keep in mind, at the Alabama Hills, vehicles need to stay on the path as always. There is a strict "Don't crush the brush" policy.

You should expect cold temperatures, wind, and amazing scenery!

Here is an article about one of my past trips to the area: Alabama Hills Trip

We will be arriving Friday afternoon/evening. It is probably advisable to find a spot "nestled" into the rocks, and I have included approximate GPS coordinates in the invite, but that is just to get a rough idea. We should plan on community camp fires in the evening., and during the day, people can break off and do their own thing. Some things to do:

    1. Technical off road trail

    1. Drive up to the base of Mt. Whitney

    1. Cerro Gorrdo Mining Town

    1. Desert

    1. The Arch
