2nd Annual Buena Vista June Jam (Colorado Front Range)
This is our second annual extended weekend trip to Buena Vista Colorado!
--Please join us for an extended weekend of camping, exploring and getting to know our fellow Overland Bound members.
--This area offers countless camping opportunities as well as miles of mild 4WD roads. For those wanting something harder there are several high elevation 4WD roads nearby. We'll organize our 4WD outings as we finalize headcounts and determine what everyone is interested in.
--We will secure a campsite as early on Thursday as possible and will update this thread if the location changes.
See the notes section farther down the page for additional information.

Planned campsite (subject to change): Camp site CLICK HERE.
Directions: County Road 315 is about 5.1 miles east of Johnson Village, CO on Hwy 285. Take 315 north about 1.9 miles until you see a pretty large dispersed camping area on your left at the top of the hill. Enter this area (315B)a we plan to be back around to the left just in the trees. We hope to have some visible Overland Bound signage. Cell service is marginal and text messaging will probably work best if phone doesn't work. Neal: 719.248.0936

There will be a mixture of participants having FRS/GMRS, CB and/or Amateur Radio. Since the FRS/GMRS radios are the easiest and cheapest to acquire please try to have one with plenty of batteries for the weekend. Having communications on the trail is very helpful.
The goal is to have both an easy trail run and others that are a little harder. More trail plans later.
Trail runs will likely consist of some combinations of the following:
Mount Antero (if opened in time)
