Day 1
We'll meet at Starbucks in King City at 4pm before heading out. Plans are to stay at one of the campgrounds listed as a POI in the google map. If you show up late, we have multiple alternative spots marked with locations in the Indians area, so be sure to check them.
Day 2
e'll start our day by exploring the rock formations and caves around our campsite before we make our way back down Old Milpitas Rd and up and over Nacimiento Road before veering left onto South Coast Road. Get your cameras out-- we'll cruise along the ridge line at 2500-3500 feet until we reach the southern boundary of Los Padres NF near Lottie Potrero. The plan is to camp in or near the main area of Prewitt Ridge (marked with a red waypoint) for our second night.
Day 3
Day 3 finds out heading down Nacimiento Rd to Highway 1 as we make our way north. We'll do a quick stint on dirt as we take Old Coast Road, which terminates right at one of Big Sur's most photographic landmarks, Bixby Bridge. The route ends in Monterey.
Bonus:
Complete the last leg on 21 Mile Drive in Carmel and Monterey (follow the map).
