Usal Beach / Usal Road / Wailaki BLM Campground
The turn off is extremely easy to miss so it is recommended to use your odometer to gauge how close you are to Usal Road. There is a small white sign at the entrance to the road. The road itself is a very tight and winding strip of gravel that takes you to the campground. It is roughly 6 miles from Highway 1 to the campsite on (Mendocino Country Rd 431).
AWD or 4WD vehicle is recommended.
On Saturday we will drive from Usal Beach campground to Wailaki Campground which is about 24 miles and the estimated drive time with a group is about 4 hours.
Sunday we will visit Shelter Cove and the Lighthouse there, and head home.
