You might think I have this whole packing and overlanding thing figured out – well, sometimes things do not go as planned. It happens to all of us!
See you on the trail!

I listen to the podcast “When Your Trip Doesn’t Go as Planned” on my way home from work. Sounds like Murphy came after you at full force, glad you are ok. Interesting you didn’t want to be seen in flip-flops, I just finished watching an Australian overland show and that is all they wore.
PS glad the podcast is back
Ha! Thanks for watching. Re: flip flops – I wont say I never wear flip flops on the trail, but I have learned that sometimes innocuous things, easily avoided, can detract the conversation away from the topic at hand, and that’s not useful. I create the podcasts ans videos to be helpful, and if people are distracted, its not as helpful. See, its self-serving 🙂
Michael, that was an epic series of fails! Thanks for sharing and reminding that it can happen to all of us. Like that time I went for a quick excursion on the way home from work, got stuck, and had to hike out by the light of my cellphone screen (before they had flashlights). Love this community for its unpretentiousness.
