Anyone in Wyoming using ham radio? What is the frequency that you all use? I know about 146.460but I have NEVER heard any traffic on it. I am programing my FTM400 and I need to put more simplex frequencies in it, Thanks.

So there is 5 "overland" frequencies that I'm aware of all in simplex
146.43
146.46
146.49
146.58
147.42
We use these when traveling in groups. I have rarely heard anyone on any of them that wasn't in our group.

Is that something ya'll came up with or is that standardized with a specific group?

That is a band plan I ran across somewhere on the interwebs and incorporated it. I believe it is standardized but not to a specific group.
