wrangler JL dual batteries

Am wondering if anyone has installed or attempted to do a dual battery setup in a new ('18) Wrangler JL. The new JL already has two batteries (main batt and one small powersports sized battery underneath the fuse box. My overall question is...is this already a dual battery setup that could work for running a fridge/freezer or would a third battery be recommended?? It is my understanding that the smaller battery in the Jeep is for starting only. Thanx for the help

Check out Genesis Off road, I believe they were making a Dual battery setup for the JL.

From my understanding the smaller (2nd battery) in the JL is for the auto start/stop feature used at stoplights, intersections, ect. Not the main starting battery per say.

So i would get hold of Genesis and ask for more information.

Thanx for the help. That was my understanding as well that the small batt. was for the auto start stop. I will head over and check out Genesis. Im interested to see how they were able to work around that system.
