Just wondering if anyone had any input on some good places. I’m in Rock Hill, SC area. I’ve been to Hurricane Creek, Linville Gorge, and a few others. I know I can look at the map, just wanted to have a conversation about it. If so, let me know please. I would really appreciate it. Sometimes I can only get away for a weekend and a 2-4 hour drive would be good for that.

There is some great camping over the Chatooga in Georgia. The Chattahoochee-Oconee NF has lots of dispersed and various campgrounds. That is at the edge of the distance you referenced.

Lots of places in the Cherokee Nat Forest (east TN & west NC) near the Tellico area. Been a few years since I was in Rock Hill but this should be in your travel time.
