Hey everybody! Our fam is traveling from Texas, where we live, to Alabama for Thanksgiving. We're planning on capitalizing on the roadtrip time, to hopefully do some exploring. Tentative plan:
Camping somewhere in East Texas or Louisiana Tuesday night on the way to AL, drive the rest of the way straight to AL on I10.
We're leaving 2 nights and 2 days for the complete trip back. Hoping to go North a little bit, and take a roundabout way back threading through Tennessee and Arkansas.
Any places we should go in Tennessee and Arkansas? Looking more for remote back road routes, dispersed camping options, or some shorter trails we can hit as we make our way back. I have considered doing the section of the TAT that cuts through the area, but I feel like that's going to make our overall traveling time a bit longer than we'd like, and I'm not sure that section of the TAT is actually as remote as we're looking for.
Would love some suggestions!
